The entire village of Chéticamp, Nova Scotia, looks forward to the arrival of Tante Marie's great-great-niece, seven-year-old Claire, but no one succeeds in making friends with the quiet little girl until Tante Marie goes back to hooking a rug and Claire decides to investigate.
